Welcome back to another edition of activities for everyone where I bring to you top 3 events from around the island happening this week. In this week’s article, there is a great variation of events which will cater to a wide variety of people so there is bound to be something for each and every one of you. Push to the Max! Bodyweight Circuit Boot camp

MacRitchie Reservoir

Itching to get back out there and tone those muscles? If you have missed the last few gym sessions and are feeling guilty, this event is just for you. Push to the Max body weight circuit boot camp is hitting our shores at the MacRitchie Reservoir on Sunday the second of July at 9am.  Jointly organized by PushPullGive and Urban Remedy, a circuit generally refers to a group of exercises which are done in a set over and over again to boost your endurance and tone your muscles. Participants are required to complete each station before moving on to the next one. Experienced trainers will be present to ensure that all participants are performing the exercises correctly so as to prevent any kind of injury. The circuit activity will conclude when the time requirement is met by all the participants. Pre & Post Natal Exercise Course

Most expectant mothers have one major worry when it comes to pregnancy. That worry would be the lack of exercise during and after the entire process of pregnancy. If you are expecting and having this concern, you might want to consider signing up for this event. Fitness Network Australia has put together this event to inform and educate soon to be mothers and mothers on how they can go about exercising during the pre and post natal periods. Exercising during pregnancy is risky and one has to know the right exercises and the intensity at which to perform so as to not harm the mother or the baby. Participants will also learn about the physiological and psychological changes which will inevitably come with pregnancy. The trainer in charge is Claire Norgate who is a mother herself and has a passion in coaching women through pregnancy and the post natal period. Last Friday of the Month

Merlion Plaza, Sentosa

Friday, 30th June 2017, 5pm

 

Head on down to Sentosa this Friday to breathe some fresh air and enjoy a night with music, fun and laughter with your friends and family. The last Friday of the month is always celebrated by a likeminded group of people at the Merlion Plaza starting from 5pm onwards. These events are usually headlined by a particular group of people which tend to vary by the month. For this month’s event, UKES@PP will lead a family jamming session by playing some sweet tunes with their ukuleles. As this a joint jamming session, participants are advised to bring along their own ukuleles to play along. It does not matter if you are a beginner or an expert at playing the instrument.
